WORLD CUP ATTENDANCE TO PASS 3 MILLION TODAY
Leading up to this year’s World Cup, there was a lot of speculation as to what type of ticket sales we would all see for the tournament. Airfare was pricy, security was a big red flag, and ticket sales started off extremely low. Well, after today’s semifinal match between Germany and Spain, the World Cup attendance will surpass the 3 million attendance marker.
According to FIFA, 2,997,000 people have attended the first 61 matches of the tournament, which averages out to be just shy of 50,000 with three big games left to be played.
The 2010 World Cup attendance in South Africa ranks third among all tournaments, behind the 1994 World Cup in the U.S. and the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

I think Spain really earned this World Cup Titel. They were just the best team all over the competition except against Switzerland, when they were not awake.
