VAN PERSIE WILL BE READY FOR URUGUAY MATCH

Despite suffering a left elbow injury during their match with Brazil, Holland’s Robin Van Persie has been cleared to take on Uruguay on Tuesday afternoon in their semifinal match.

After taking the knock, the Netherlands squad feared that the blow would sideline the striker.  However, team spokeswoman Monique Kessels has revealed that scans showed that the injury were not as serious as they thought.

The Netherlands will take on Diego Forlan & co. this Tuesday at 12:30pm EST on ESPN.  If you’re at work, then we obviously expect you to hit up www.espn3.com for HD quality viewing.

There are only four matches left in this tournament that won’t be back around for four more years… so, soccer fans, make sure to soak up the tail end of the tournament and catch the Holland vs. Uruguay showdown.
