SNEIJDER CREDITED WITH FELIPE MELO’S OWN GOAL

Holland midfielder Wesley Sneijder has been credited with Netherland’s first goal in their 2-1 quarterfinal victory over the Brazilians.

In the 53rd minute of play, Sneijder’s cross into the box skipped off of Brazil’s Felipe Melo’s head and into the back of his own goal.

After review of the cross… wait, i mean shot… a FIFA panel of experts has stated that the kick was headed for goal and should be credited to Sneijder.

Sneijder now has four goals in five matches this tournament.
