AC Milan’s Ronaldinho netted the game-winner in the 1-0 victory over Fiorentina in Italy’s Serie A.
The victory put Milan seven points ahead of fourth-placed Sampdoria Ronaldinho told Sky Sport Italia: “It is a very important victory in a difficult moment for us.
“It is the most important win of our season because it allows us to qualify for the Champions League and look forward to next season with great enthusiasm.”
Despite having a sensational season with Milan, 30 year-old Ronaldinho is still expected to miss out on World Cup 2010 with Brazil.
“I am happy to be doing well for the team and for me,” he smiled.
“Then, if Carlos Dunga will take me to the World Cup all the better…”
