HOLLAND AND BRAZIL READY FOR THEIR QUARTERFINAL SHOWDOWN
Tomorrow morning awaits the biggest showdown World Cup 2010 has seen thus far. Holland’s Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben will go head-to-head with Kaka and Robinho in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in their quarterfinal match.
This field has been labeled as the tournament’s worst pitch. However, Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk has put to rest any question about whether or not the field will have an impact on the outcome of the game.
“We heard bad things about it,” Bert van Marwijk said last night , “but we’ve just been to have a look, and it’s not as bad as that. It’s level and you can see that some bad patches have been replaced. But you can’t blame anything that happens on the pitch.”
Tomorrow morning, we will all witness the tournament’s best do-or-die match thus far. Kick-off is at 10am EST on ESPN and ESPN3.com.
