HOLDEN OUT 6 WEEKS
During yesterday’s USA vs Netherlands international friendly, Stuart Holden sustained a fracture on his right fibula and is now out for the next six weeks. This means no EPL for Holden.
Bolton Wanderers aquired Holden on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Bolton head honcho, Owen Coyle, is obviously disappointed by the news as Holden was just starting to get comfortable in his system.
“It’s disappointing for Stuart because he has come into the team and done ever so well,” Coyle said on FIFA’s official website. “He’s a very good player, an international player, and he has shown a real hunger and desire to do well for our football club.
Despite this bit of bad news, Holden will be ready for action come this summer in South Africa.
