Last October, Charlie Davies was involved in a terrible car accident that would hospitalize and put the U.S. national team’s quickest striker outside of soccer. Now, here is the good news for all American soccer fans… his new target date for return is late April.
Davies is looking to return to Sochaux at the end of April.
“I think doctors are a little impressed,” he said on les Lionceaux’s official website. “We’ve discussed the problems each week and each time they say, ‘Oof! You’ve progressed far.’ I think they are optimistic about the fact that I’ll play again. They all seem very confident.”
Americans, keep your fingers crossed for the quicker-than-thought-of return of CD9.
