CHING SIDELINED FROM 4 TO 6 WEEKS

USA hopeful and Houston Dynamo forward Brian Ching, is expected to be sidelined for four-to-six weeks after sustaining a left hamstring injury, which may indeed shatter his hopes of joining the World Cup Squad in South Africa this summer.

Ching pulled up and went down in the box as he raced for a ball rolling out of bounds during the Dynamo’s home opener against Real Salt Lake last Thursday night.

His 2006 World Cup appearance, as well as 11 goals in 44 international appearances qualified him as a legitimate contender for a spot on the USA roster.  Missing so much action may limit or better yet, shatter Ching’s likelihood of making the trek come June.
