HONDA TO LAND IN MILAN

It looks as though AC Milan are inches away from locking down Japan’s Keisuke Honda, who made quite the splash at World Cup 2010, from CSKA Moscow.
Milan made an offer of £10.9m (€13m) on Thursday, only to have CSKA Moscow respond by requesting a higher bid of £12.5m (€15m).
“We are very close to signing Honda, the clubs are very close to finding an agreement,” a GOAL.com source said. “[Milan coach Massimiliano] Allegri likes him a lot and wants to see him playing alongside [Alexandre] Pato and Ronaldinho.”
Following stellar performances in the 2009-10 Champions League and World Cup 2010 tournament, the 24 year-old striker has attracted a lot of attention from clubs around the globe.
He has been linked with Arsenal, Brirmingham City, Everton, Atletico Madrid, Deportiva La Coruna, Valencia, and the list goes on.
