MLS GOES HD

Major League Soccer has wisely decided to broadcast all of their games locally in high definition [HD] to provide a better product for all television viewers.

It has been reported that these changes have been made to better compete with the highest levels of soccer through other leagues around the globe.

There are, however, some obstacles to overcome as the league looks to move in this direction.  Even though every club will broadcast their matches in HD, viewers will still be forced to watch certain matches in basic standard definition.  Unfortunately, some partners do not offer HD channels or the bandwidth required to produce such quality.

I couldn’t be any happier about the league’s decision to move forward and mandate the movement towards HD.  Look for a higher interest in MLS soccer as a higher quality of viewing pleasure becomes available.
