The Chicago Fire have signed their newest addition, Dutch forward, Collins John who has signed on as a free agent. The one-time Fulham FC and Dutch national team striker will be added to the roster pending receipt of his P1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate [ITC].
“We are very excited to have Collins join the Chicago Fire,” said Fire Technical Director Frank Klopas. “Collins is a talented player and he will be a great addition to the club. He is a quick and powerful forward with a nose for goal and we believe he will be a good fit to the attacking style we will play this season.”
John will re-join his one time Fulham attack partner, Brian McBride. When discussing the chance to reunite with McBride, John said that he is “one of the most important soccer players in history.” John later went on to say, “It’s great to be back playing with Brian again and I’m looking forward to playing with him up front again.”
