BECKS BACK IN A WEEK?

David Beckham has set his sights on making his long awaited return for the game against Columbus Crew on September 11th. The superstar has almost recovered from a snapped Achilles tendon that he suffered while on loan in Italy with AC Milan.
The 35-year-old midfielder had been given a date of October 1st as his return date, but as always he seems to be ahead of schedule.
He told the LA Galaxy website, “I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hopefully will play in part of the game against Columbus.
“I’ll be on the bench and hopefully I’ll get on the field for 15-20 minutes.
“When you do go through a trauma like this, an injury like this, there’s always going to be that thing in the back of your mind saying, ‘The last time I did that motion was when it actually snapped.’
“Cutting and turning and pushing off is still difficult for me, but that’s going to come in time.”
We are excited to see Beckham’s return, LA have been in stuttering form of late and this could be the massive boost they need to secure the Supporters Shield and maybe an MLS Championship.
