SURGERY SIDELINES KAKA FOR UP TO FOUR MONTHS

Well, the good news is that Real Madrid’s Kaka underwent a successful knee surgery. The bad news is that Kaka’s long-awaited surgery, will sideline their star midfielder for up to four months.
A statement on Real Madrid’s website read: “The operation performed on the left knee of Real Madrid C.F.’s Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos Leite ‘Kaka’ by Dr. Marc Martens at Antwerp’s AZ Monica Hospital was a success.
“The arthroscopic surgery confirmed an injury to the left meniscus with minimal inflammation of the cartilage. The player is expected to miss three to four months.”
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho, however, is pretty confident that his squad will be able to make changes to fill the hole Kaka has left them.
“If we lose him for some time it’s no drama, we have other players and that’s it, but he’s one of the best players in the world,” Mourinho said.
After a disappointing showing at South Africa’s World Cup 2010, many Real Madrid fans were hoping to see the 28 year-old midfielder bounce back with a good La Liga season showing. Those hopes have been postponed, giving other players the responsibilities of stepping up to fill his shoes.
