KAKA SAYS HIS DOCTOR HAS ‘EXAGGERATED’ THE EXTENT OF HIS INJURY

Kaka has now come out and squash his surgeon’s claims that the 28 year-old attacking midfielder put his career in jeopardy by playing in World Cup 2010.
On August 5th, Dr. Marc Martens performed arthroscopic surgery on Kaka’s left knee following a preseason check-up by Madrid doctors. Martens said that Kaka was in unbearable pain throughout the World Cup and especially during Brazil’s quarterfinal match against Holland which ended up knocking them out of the tournament.
Wow, so much for doctor confidentiality.
Kaka has now told Spanish newspapers that Martens has embellished the extent of his knee problems.
“Martens is a great professional but he raised the alarm, he exaggerated a lot,” Kaka said.
“I played in pain in a lot of games, not just with the national team, but also with Real Madrid,” he said. “And not just my knee, but other parts of my body, too.”
“I will be the best in the world again,” Kaka said. “Today it’s difficult to say this, but I think I’m going to be successful with Real Madrid. I had the operation to be No. 1 again.”
