JOZY OFF TO TURKEY?

Once thought of as the brightest hope in American soccer, misfit Jozy Altidore is set to leave Villarreal permenantly and head over to Turkey, where Besiktas are thought to be readying an offer on a long term contract.
I’ve always thought that Villarreal was too big a club for Jozy to start his European adventure, and when he came on loan to Hull City, I thought he would be a success, a smaller mid-table team. But that didn’t work out either, so when the loan ended after Hull was relegated, and even if he had a decent World Cup, we all knew his time at Villarreal was up.
So on to a new challenge, a new language, and moving to a fantastic country that is at the same time extremely different.
Besiktas however is a fantastic team maybe only behind the likes of Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, and if the move comes off he will be training and playing alongside the likes of Turkish legend Nihat Kahveci, Ricardo Quaresma from Portugal, Argentine Matías Delgado, and also Guti who recently signed after being released by Real Madrid.
Jozy needs experienced players around him. The four I just mentioned will provide that, but they will also create things for him. He needs this and most of all team USA needs this.
