DESSO PITCH FOR WEMBLEY?

It seems Wembley stadium has finally gotten its act together. The 2007 opening of the stadium was surrounded by considerable hype, people were excited about the new home for English football. And while the stadium itself has received nothing but praise, the field has fallen well short of expectations.
Already replaced numerous times, the ownership has finally come to the conclusion that Desso GrassMaster could be the way forward. Desso pitches are already well known in England and around the world.
The surface is composed of natural grass combined with artificial fibres, which allows the them to mesh and strengthen the playing field. It can also improve drainage.
Recently John Terry of Chelsea and Spurs’ boss Harry Redknapp have been highly critical after playing for and managing their teams towards the end of last season.
Desso is used at Liverpool’s ground Anfield. Arsenal uses it as do Aston Villa, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspurs, and Real Madrid. If we see it at Wembley, and it stops the pitch from cutting up as badly as it has done, then there will be no complaints.
And about time too!
