Clint Dempsey will make the trip to Torino, Italy on Thursday for Fulham’s Europa League match-up against Juventus.
This is good new for both the EPL’s Fulham as well as U.S. soccer fans as it definitely shows signs of Dempsey’s knee ligament damage improving. Dempsey sustained the injury to his right know in Fulham’s 2-0 loss to Blackburn back on January, 17 of this year.
Dempsey appears to be right on schedule as he was predicted to be ready for action in mid-March last month. This is great news for USA fans as the Americans look to refill the empty holes that have been so visible due to injury.
Come summer, the United States should be much healthier and at near full-strength, with exception of maybe Charlie Davies. U.S. fans just need to keep their fingers crossed when it comes to Davies, Holden, and Onyewu now.
