CAPELLO TO QUIT AFTER EURO 2012

England’s Italian boss, Fabio Capello, has said he plans to quit when England has completed the Euro 2012 championships, leaving a host of English coach’s with one eye on the job.

The Italian tactician suffered a terrible experience at the World Cup in South Africa, with his team seemingly not hitting the standards they had already attained when they reached the finals so comfortably. England has again started qualifying for the Euros with confidence and flair.

Capello at 64-years-old realizes he is coming to the end of his career. He told Sky Sports after being asked if he would see out his current contract, and step down as boss regardless of what happens in Poland and the Ukraine, “Absolutely. Yes.

“We have to qualify first of course but after that I will be too old.

“I want to enjoy my life as a pensioner.”

While England and Capello won’t get over excited yet, they have made the start fans would have demanded after a disappointing World Cup. A few fresh faces have helped, but the senior players in Ashley Cole, Steven Gerrard along with Wayne Rooney and Jermain Defoe have started the campaign in fine form.
