ROONEY EXTENDS GOAL TALLY TO 32

Wayne Rooney extended his goal tally to 32 on the season as Manchester United trampled Fulham today with a final score of 3-0.

With a scoreless first half, Rooney and the rest of Man U took the field during the second as they looked to climb back on top of Chelsea in the English Premier League.

After a series of missed opportunities, most of which came from Dimitar Berbatov, Rooney took over and netted two second-half goals (46th and 84th minute) that would squash Fulham’s hopes of pulling out a “W.”  Berbatov would eventually cap off his frustrating afternoon by finally notching a goal in the 89th minute.

With eight only matches remaining this season, can Rooney reach the record-setting 43 marker?
