PETR CECH SIDELINED WITH A TORN CALF

Chelsea will start their run at another English Premier League title without helmet wearing goalkeeper, Petr Cech, after it was confirmed the 28 year-old has sustained a torn calf muscle.
The injury sidelining Cech for a month came during a pre-season training yesterday, likely keeping him off the pitch against West Brom in Chelsea’s season opener on August 14.
“Scans have shown Petr Cech has torn a calf muscle in his right leg and the goalkeeper is expected to be out for a month,” a Chelsea statement read.
This tune is all too familiar for the Blues, however. Cech sustained a similar injury during a Champions League match against Inter Milan last February.
