GLAZERS TURN DOWN £1 BILLION-PLUS CASH OFFER
Will someone please explain to me hot the Glazer family, Manchester United owners, turned down a £1 billion-plus cash offer from one of the world’s richest men in exchange for the Man U club?!
Apparently, the unofficial price tag for the club is now an outrageous £1.5 billion, which is out of the league of current Red Knight interest.
A high-powered global football figure who presented the mega bid for Manchester United directly to the Glazer camp told ESPN Soccernet the following: “The Glazers have made it perfectly clear they are not sellers. People are puzzled why they are refusing to cash in, but it’s simple: they think it is a good business and they like the club. They are very confident that it can be even more successful in the future both on and off the pitch.”
I love the clubs I support, however, a £1 billion-plus cash offer would definitely be enough for me to sell the organization without blinking an eye. I could still love the team just as much from the stands as I could from an owners suite, especially if selling the team makes me one of the richest men on the planet. I guess in the Glazer’s case, if you already have more money than you know what to do with, that you hold onto it and don’t really need to sell.
