From watches to earrings, Diego maradona’s 50th birthday presents just may end up in the hands of Italy’s tax collection agency.
While Argentine legend Maradona is hoping to play a birthday match at his old stadium in Naples next month, Italian collection agency Equitalia stated Tuesday “the fact that Maradona was a great footballer and is still loved by fans doesn’t make his situation different from other tax payers.”
All of these unpaid tax debts originated when he played for Napoli from 1984-91, where Maradona led his club to two Serie A titles.
Maradona has already had two Rolex watches confiscated as well as a fatty diamond earring. What item is next?
