David Villa (3 Dec 1981) plays striker for the Spain national team.  During yesterday’s highly anticipated match against Portugal, Villa scored the game-winning goal off of his own rebound in the 63rd minute of play.  The Spanish forward has been sensational this tournament and stepped up his play with the on-field absence of Fernando Torres, who is yet to score.  Villa is now tied for the lead in goals scored for this World Cup thus far.
