Manchester United we’re linked heavily with the 22 year old attacker before he decided to move to Italy to improve his game.

And the rising star told Gazzetta dello Sport ”I don’t think about the transfer market but only about playing.

“I look to my progress and I am pleased as I am maturing, even if I’m only at 40 per cent of my potential.

“I know that my future depends on me, and I know I am on the right track.

“The interest of Inter and Manchester United? It’s nice to know that I am valued and I’d like to play in a big club but another season with Udinese should be good for me because I still lack a final piece for the final leap.

“My preferences? I like English football more because they go a thousand miles per hour, never stop, like me.

“But for now it is a problem that I pose, the contract (with Udinese) expires in 2015. It is necessary that I score more goals, assists are not enough for me. Then I have to learn to control better myself.

“I hope to score 10 goals, so maybe I’ll help Udinese to qualify for Europe. Also the Champions League is a possible achievement. And if we finish in the top four you can be sure that I won’t move.”

It has been reported by Italian media than Inter Milan are set to make a swap with Parma, giving them defender Davide Santon in return for Cristian Zaccardo.

Zaccardo is a versatile 29 year-old right back who is also capable of player the central defender role.  Following a season at the Bundesliga club Wolfsburg, Zaccardo joined Parma.  Prior to Wolfsburg, the right back spent time in the Serie A with both Bologna and Palermo.

So far this season, Inter have battled a number of injuries which have sidelined a number of key players.  Inter has already locked in center defender Andrea Ranocchia from Genoa, who was brought to fill in for Walter Samuel, and to help solidify their defense.

Giuseppe Rossi’s agent has revealed that unless a big-time offer comes in, the Villarreal striker is set to stay put.

Since summer, there has been rumor that the 23 year-old hit-man would return to his adopted country of Italy.  However, Rossi’s agent, Silvio Pastorello, says the only way his client will make a move to the Serie A is for some big-time money.

“We are currently working on a contract renewal with Villarreal,” Pastorello revealed to Radio Sei. “His return to Italy will be difficult unless one of the big Italian sides are prepared to spend the money for one of the best Italian players.”

During the summer of 2009, there was chatter linking Rossi to Juventus.  Obviously, there is no word yet of a big spend coming Rossi’s way.

Currently, Villarreal sit in third place in the La Liga standings with 33 points.

Sheikh Al-Thani bought the Primera Liga outfit in the summer and he is now showing he is keen to invest and provide new coach Manuel Pellegrini with the players he wants.

Board member Jose Carlos Perez, a close aide of the owner, confirmed the deal is in place, saying that Baptista has agreed on a deal until 2013, ”He has signed for two-and-a-half years and the transfer is €2million with Roma.”

He will be officially unveiled on January 1st along with Martin Demichelis from Bayern Munich, also Atletico Madrid duo Ignacio Camacho and Sergio Asenjo will be making the move.

Good news, Inter supporters… at least for now. According to Maicon’s agent, Inter Milan’s star right back is not leaving the club in the January transfer window.

As of late, there has been a lot of chatter from both the Spanish and Italian press linking the Brazilian international to La Liga’s Real Madrid.

Despite Madrid boss Jose Mourinho’s interest in reuniting with Maicon, his agent Antonio Caliendo says the 29 year-old defender isn’t going anywhere.  However, it has been reported that Maicon is just as interested as Mourinho to ink a deal.

“You can never say anything with absolute certainty, but it seems difficult to me that a player of this level can change teams in the January transfer window,” Caliendo told Marca. “To buy a player of this class you need very well planned negotiations.

“Cases like that of Ronaldinho are very rare. He wants to leave to be able to play. Only in special cases like this can everything be resolved in little time.”

Perhaps, the addition of Brazilian Leonardo as Inter’s new manager will help provide Maicon with a brighter future in Milan.

After an unpleasant stint in the Premier League, AC Milan striker Robinho says that he is enjoying life in the Serie A and would like to potentially end his career with the Rossoneri.

The 26 year-old hit-man has helped ignite Milan’s offense up top alongside Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“In Milan I like my fellow countrymen,” Robinho told Corriere dello Sport. “I have a great team, and [Gennaro] Gattuso explained that this represents what the club Milan is.

“I feel happy here and want to stay in Milan for ten seasons and then retire at the age of 36.”

Robinho, however, appears to still have hard feelings towards his former EPL club Manchester City.  The Brazilian international told the British press that he advised Kaka not to join Man City, which ultimately helped send the playmaker to Real Madrid.

“I told him what it was like to live in Manchester; that it is cold, it always rains and offers little,” Robinho was quoted by English newspaper, The Independent.

Recently, there have that Mario Balotelli is unhappy at Man City and wants out of Eastlands.  When Robinho was questioned about Balotelli’s future, he said he thinks that former Serie A bad boy will have his way.

Robinho said: “I do not think [he will stay long in Manchester].”

Although the transfer won’t go through until January 2nd he has been allowed to join up with his new team mates in Dubai. Milan moved quickly for the Sampdoria man as the impending departure of Ronaldinho heats up.

Oddo said, “We’re expecting a lot from him, he’s a bonus to the team.

“We hope that everything will go well.

“Milan offers a favourable environment because they give you everything but they demand respect.

“We’ll also be keeping an eye on him.”

Cassano, if treated properly, can be a huge plus for the Milan side’s quest for Serie A glory, this all depends on if he can return respect to his coaches!

While he admits things could change, he has been a virtual ever present this season, telling Le Parisien, “After the first part of the season, I have been playing in every match and providing many assists.

“Now, I must aim to score more. When I arrived at Roma, I needed to feel wanted, and today I feel this and am able to play at my best.

“I want to reach as high as possible and now am doing well. In June, I will have one more year left on my contract and we shall see what happens.

“Paris Saint-Germain is my club at heart, but I am not thinking about them at the moment.”

The Serie A leaders jetted out to their winter training camp in Dubaion Monday without their Brazilian playmaker.

They claim the former World Player of the Year has been given permission to join up late and will fly out in the next few days.

Roberto De Assis, Ronaldinho’s agent said, “I will meet with Milan’s Adriano Galliani in Rio de Janeiro on Monday and see if they can thrash out a deal.”

If this does go through it will end months of speculation about him going to the MLS and in particular the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Juventus stopper Giorgio Chiellini is intent on notching the Serie A title at the end of this season.

“The first few months of 2010 did not go like we hoped, and there were a few problems,” the Italian international told the club’s official website. “Now, we have the willingness to do well .

“We have had the odd problems during this new season, but it is normal after a raft of changes. With the months passing, we have found an equilibrium and things are now on the right path.

“All we can do is now continue like this, growing and maturing match after match.

“Individually, I hope to continue having fun and becoming an even more important player for the Bianconeri and Italy. I also hope that we can finally win a trophy as well,” he concluded.

Currently, Juve sit in fourth place in a tight race, just five points behind AC Milan.
