Championship, Not MLS For Okocha

He's so good they named him twice34 year old Nigerian Jay Jay (so good they named him twice) Okocha has signed with Championship side Hull City! This comes after persistant rumors of a move to the MLS, most notably with Real Salt Lake as a possible destination.

After 4 years playing in England with Bolton Wanderers he was released last summer and tried his luck with Qatar SC in the middle east.

Obviously the lure of a more western style of football has helped him come back, Hull City aren’t a bad Championship side, but they could be better, with Okocha’s experience of playing at the highest level and also the capture of Caleb Folan from Wigan you can bet that Hull’s ambition has risen, from mid-table to challenging for a play off spot.

I wish Jay Jay all the luck in the world, but I am sad he’s not here, he could have been by far the most skillful player the MLS would have ever seen!

If you don’t believe me, just go to www.youtube.com  and type his name in.

What a coincidence and on hindsight looking back, your words have become quite prophetic. Hull City had a fine season and Jay Jay certainly did his bit to help!
