Will Henrik Make Another International Come Back?

The familiar sight of Henrik Larsson scoring Swedish legend Henrik Larsson looks like he will try to be talked out of international retirement again, current first choice striker Marcus Allback is injured and is struggling to make the Swedish squad for the game against Northern Ireland, while the undoubtly biggest star of the Swedish players Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not want to represent Sweden right now.

Ibrahimovic is a great player but there is no denying that he has a screw loose up top! It’s a pity that he can’t get himself in gear for his country because he’s been on fire for Inter Milan this season.

I’ve seen a little bit of Johan Elmander for Toulouse FC this season in France and he seems to be playing very well, Markus Rosenberg at Werder Bremen is another option although he’s just trying to break into the side at the moment.

I don’t blame Sweden for trying to get Larsson back but sooner or later they will have to stop relying on him and throw these players into the deep end and get them up to scratch in international football.

However in Sweden’s defence Henrik Larsson has still got what it takes to be the top striker, Manchester United have benefited from his skills and he could probably still play at the highest level long enough to help Sweden in Euro 2008.
