Beck’s Move’s To L.A.

I'd be grinning at his new pay packet as well! It’s happened! Beckham mania is going to start in the States as of August 2007, the Real Madrid player has agreed terms with the L.A. Galaxy, a 5 year deal and a wedge of money! 128 million pounds to be exact.

Is this a move for a bumper pay day? Well it certainly looks like it, but at the age of 31 Beck’s still has alot to offer.

Still fit as a fiddle and has great leadership qualities, the influence of Beckham on football worldwide is still massive, the money he’ll earn is only a small amount that he’ll bring into American Soccer, not only will attendances rise but it will with out doubt bring more high profile players from over the pond.

This is a major coup for the MLS and after 11 years of trying they have in one man a chance of really becoming a huge league that produces great players and attracts other big players.

I’m excited to roll down to the Rice Eccles in Salt lake to see Freddy Adu match up against Beck’s.
