It’s happened! Beckham mania is going to start in the States as of August 2007, the Real Madrid player has agreed terms with the L.A. Galaxy, a 5 year deal and a wedge of money! 128 million pounds to be exact.

Is this a move for a bumper pay day? Well it certainly looks like it, but at the age of 31 Beck’s still has alot to offer.

Still fit as a fiddle and has great leadership qualities, the influence of Beckham on football worldwide is still massive, the money he’ll earn is only a small amount that he’ll bring into American Soccer, not only will attendances rise but it will with out doubt bring more high profile players from over the pond.

This is a major coup for the MLS and after 11 years of trying they have in one man a chance of really becoming a huge league that produces great players and attracts other big players.
