German legend Franz Beckenbauer has rightly claimed that Germany are the best in europe right now, and I for one am not arguing with him!

This is the first German side that I can honestly say has got proper flair in so many year’s, of course Germany are alway’s solid, but they have quietly grown into a great side, Ballack, Frings, Klose and Podolski are probably the best four in there position’s at international level (form wise) at this moment and time.

Der Kaiser hasn’t come out and said they will win Euro 2008, but already i’d put them as favorite’s, they have a fantastic blend of youth and experience.

Germany hosted a fantastic World Cup and had a fantastic World Cup themselve’s and they seems to be kicking on from that.

I am however interested in there goalkeeping situation! Kahn has gone and Lehmann is rightly still there, but is coming towards the end of his international career (Euro 2008 will apparently he his signal to retire), I watch quite a bit of German football and I haven’t seen any leading contender’s to replace these two great keeper’s.
