Celtic Signing Retires From International Football
Celtic’s new Danish midfield hero Thomas Gravesen has retired from the national scene after playing for eight years with his country.
At the age of 30 you could be forgiven if everyone thought he might have tried to help his country qualify for the European Championship in 2008. That would of been a fitting way to end your international career.
But the head strong Dane has decided to pull the plug on any such fairytale as he wants to push 100% in the Celtic cause.
After an unhappy spell at Real Madrid where he never got a fair deal it seemed that Gravesen would have rejuvenated his career at Celtic. So much so that he doesn’t want anything else to get in the way!
Fair play to him though. You never know he might conveniently come out of international just as the 2008 tournament comes up on the agenda.
